Soul Game
I thought that I was a masterpiece
A masterpiece at the game of love
Now I am aware that I never knew
Never in part, never in whole,
And my shoulders shrug off not in peace.
Then I journeyed a thousand world's in my head
And saw gracious love prime in me
Awake I only to see bitter muse
To realize in deceit I myself has led.
I push back the heavy heart,
And pushed and barked at my folly.
Never should have trailed the path of soul's game,
Unless with one who bears to leave my gain.
